Popovkin Boris Aleksandrovich (1937 - 2008)

Graduated from the Department of Chemistry of MSU - 1959, Doctor of Science (Inorganic Chemistry) - 1984, professor, Head of Inorganic Synthesis Laboratory since 1986.

Ph.D. Thesis (MSU, Department of Chemistry, 1963, supervised by prof.A.V.Novoselova) - "Physico-Chemical Investigation of Lead-Selenium-Oxygen Ternary System"

Dr.Sci. Thesis (MSU, Department of Chemistry, 1984) - "Physico-Chemical Principles of Controlled Synthesis of Antimony Sulphoiodide and Other Antimony and Bismuth Chalco(oxo-)-Halides"

Scientific interests: solid state chemistry, chemistry of metal-metal bonds, supramolecular inorganic chemistry, chemistry of inorganic materials
