Rare earth-based luminescent materials

We synthesize new lanthanide coordination compounds, study their luminescent properties and build functional materials based on these compounds.

Aromatic rare earth carboxylates are of interest doledue to their excellent luminescent properties combined with high stability toward UV-radiation. At the same time, many of these compounds are poorly soluble and not volatile which obstructs their application in form of thin films. We develop new chemical deposition methods to solve this problem.

We also study the compounds with emission in IR region which find application in the fields of biovisualization. Among them are lanthanide coordination compounds with β-diketonate, halogen-substituted aromatic carboxylate and Schiff-base ligands.
